Overview

KumaAlert is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your monitoring data stays on your device.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device:

• Server credentials (username, password) are stored in the iOS Keychain
• JWT authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain
• API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain
• Server URLs and monitor data are stored in the app's local database
• Widget data is stored in a shared app group container on your device

Network Communication

The app communicates only with:

• Your self-hosted Uptime Kuma server(s) via Socket.IO (WebSocket) and HTTPS
• Apple's Push Notification service (APNs) for delivering push notifications
• No data is sent to KumaAlert servers or any third parties

Push Notifications

When you enable push notifications, a device token is generated by Apple and registered with your Uptime Kuma server's push relay. This token is used solely for delivering monitor status alerts. We do not have access to these tokens.

Third-Party SDKs

The app includes only the Socket.IO client library for real-time server communication. No analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are included.

Analytics & Tracking

We do not use any analytics or tracking tools. We do not collect usage data, crash reports, or any form of telemetry.

Children's Privacy

We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
